Darrell Issa–Anti-Business Republican?

Either that or he’s just a garden-variety hypocrite. Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is criticizing the Obama administration for letting BP take the lead on cleanup operations after last year’s oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

A Republican complaining that government was too hands-off toward big business? He’s probably right, but I still can’t take him seriously.

Did you read the New Yorker piece on Issa, published last January? Definitely worth a look if you didn’t.

Meh, calling a politician a garden-variety hypocrite is high praise these days.
